The Wisconsin Rapids Public School District will discontinue the use of the East Junior High School building. Here are pictures from the past 115 years.
The original Lincoln High School was built in 1903, on the current site of East Junior High School.

Are interior photos available?
The Museum has LHS’s Ahdawagam yearbooks available for visitors to look through, if requested (email Lori if interested). The yearbooks are currently the main source of interior photos of the building. They are in the process of being digitized, and will be available online at some point in the next year or two.
Great collection of photos, nice to see how that building changed through the years.
I remember the horseshoe driveway that was at the back of the building but have never seen a picture of it. Are there any in existence?
The horseshoe drive was there when Dave Engel started high school in 1959 but was covered up by the “board of education” addition in 1962. Museum staff will be on alert to find a pre-addition photo. A map or plan of the drive probably also exists.
